The bow tie was a backup tie for our daughter's wedding. The wedding party opted for long ties (Hubby also has a long tie in Clan USAF), but Hubby's set for Burns Night In January! Next to Mess Dress, the full USAF Prince Charlie is my 2nd favorite outfit when Hubs has to be "dressed to the 9's!"

Initially the bowtie didn't stay hooked and drooped at an angle. I have tried tightening it up, and I think that helped but I have not had another occasion to try it yet.
